As we prepare for the seder and the celebration of the Exodus from Egypt, we know that our liberation is not complete until all people are free. Through this new haggadah supplement from T’ruah, bring the fight for immigration justice into your seder.

First, read a beautiful, fantastical talmudic story of God caring for Jewish babies in hiding after Pharaoh decreed their deaths.

Then, discuss: How can the people at your seder table work for liberation today for children held in ICE detention and their families? Together, look at the artwork and read the words of immigrant children arrested and held in Dilley detention center in Texas.

Finally, take action using the QR code in the supplement to send an email to your representatives and advocate for an end to the detention of immigrant children and families. (You can take action at the seder table, or save the action for after chag.)

We recommend including this supplement during the Magid section of your seder, before reading about the Four Children.

Thank you for bringing the fight for immigrant justice into your seder.
