Sarah Grabiner grew up in London and has been keenly involved in Jewish life since starting North Western Reform Synagogue preschool at age 2! After high school, she spent a gap year in Israel studying in Jerusalem and volunteering with Eritrean refugees in Tel Aviv, and then studied Hebrew at Oxford University. Sarah has been involved for years in RSY-Netzer, the British Reform Zionist youth movement, as a member, leader, and staff member. She has also worked at Finchley Reform Synagogue, where she created and sustained ways to engage young people and families in the musical and religious life of the shul. Sarah is now in her second year of the cantorial program at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, and works as the student cantor at Temple Avodat Shalom in River Edge, New Jersey. She is loving her first year of New York City living!

This summer, Sarah is interning at the Women’s Prison Association.
