Preston “Pesach” D. Neimeiser (he/him/his) is a rabbinical student at HUC in New York, expecting to graduate in 2021. He was born in Tallahassee, Florida the second son of two activists dedicated to the American labor movement, and grew up steeped in the Reform movement through synagogue, camp, youth group, and Israel experiences. He holds bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Hebrew from the Florida State University and has worked as a songleader, Israel educator, and volunteer leader in a variety of Reform movement settings. During the course of rabbinical school, he has deepened his learning through fellowships at ARZA, the Shalom Hartman Institute, the 92nd Street Y Innovation Fellowship, and JOIN for Justice. An aspiring community builder with a passion and commitment to justice and the Jewish people, Preston currently serves as the student rabbi in High Point, NC.
