Erica (they/them) grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and spent countless summers as camper, counselor, and leadership at Habonim Dror Camp Galil. After receiving a BA in English from West Virginia University, Erica led Habonim Dror North America (HDNA) as Mazkirol for 3 years, where they were deeply invested in community building, education about Israel, Zionism, and Palestine, the connection between Israeli and Diaspora Jews, and the future of Jewish leadership, both in North America and in Israel. Once finished serving HDNA, Erica made aliyah to be able to make on-the-ground change in the place where they feel deeply connected. They are excited to join T’ruah and support its important mission from this side of the ocean. In their free time, you can find Erica gardening, learning a new craft, or curling up with a good book.
