Amidst a deadly crisis at Rikers, at the last Board of Correction meeting, current BOC chair carried out several alarming actions: 1. He removed the longest serving BOC members from the death investigation committee. Replacing them w/ fairly new and inexperienced board members. 2. He ordered an officer to forcibly remove Chaplain Dr. Victoria Phillips - a champion for the people. That same night someone else died in NYC DOC custody. Foley square - Tuesday June 13th at 12 pm. we call for the chair to resign immediately. Dwayne Sampson Chair of the Board of correction. Over 6000 people held in the NYC DOC.
