Earlier this month, Mayor Adams claimed that new immigrants entering NYC in large numbers would “destroy” the city. This statement was praised by a neo-Nazi website. Condemnations are not enough to counter this dangerous xenophobia. So we’re organizing!
Join T’ruah, JFREJ, Tirdof, B’nai Jeshurun, SAJ, and SCRIC in holding a Week of Action: Sukkot for Housing Justice to extend a warm welcome and hospitality to everyone without shelter in our city: migrants, unhoused New Yorkers, people on the edge of losing their homes.
Sign up to ensure the Sukkot we build this holiday commits us to extending shelter for all New Yorkers in the way so many of our families received support when they too escaped and sought shelter in this city.
The dates are as follows:
- September 27th, 6-8 p.m.: Art Build
- October 4th, 6-8 p.m.: Potluck Dinner & Mutual Aid
- October 6th, 9-11 a.m.: Potluck Breakfast & Mutual Aid
