Rachel Braun is a first year rabbinical student at the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at American Jewish University. Rachel grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and attended Chicagoland Jewish High School. She then got her BA at Washington University in St. Louis in International Studies with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. During her studies, she was able to travel to various countries including an AJWS service trip to Muchucuxcah, Mexico and study abroad experiences in The Republic of Georgia, Paris, and Morocco. In Los Angeles, Rachel has found a wonderful community at IKAR where she is excited to contribute to the combined culture of spirituality and social justice work.
