Rabbi Marisa James served as T’ruah’s inaugural Israel Fellow from 2011-2013, creating the Year-in-Israel program from the ground up. After her return to the U.S., the program shifted format to engage multiple fellows representing the different seminaries. A graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Marisa currently serves as Director of Social Justice Programming at CBST in New York City.
