Rabbi Jill Jacobs will be in conversation with Stacy Burdett about the White House strategy for Combatting Antisemitism that was just released Thursday. The discussion will delve into the details and significance of the strategy, what the plan means for Jewish leaders and communities, and what to expect in the months ahead as the strategy is implemented.
Stacy Burdett has been a trusted resource for corporations, nonprofits and government officials on strategies to fight anti-Semitism and to integrate it into DEI programs and culture. As ADL’s Vice President for Government Relations, Advocacy and Community Engagement, Stacy developed policy, legislation, and national issue campaigns designed to prevent and respond to evolving forms of antisemitism. She has testified in Congress and at intergovernmental forums like the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on strategies to counter bigotry and hate crime. As Government and External Relations Director for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, she worked with members of Congress and the administration to explore America’s response to the Holocaust and its relevance to societal and policy challenges today.
Stacy represented the Anti-Defamation League at the 2001 UN World Conference Against Racism in Durban, South Africa where the interplay between antisemitism and discourse around Zionism and Israel Palestine emerged as a challenge and an issue of public debate. She has worked with the drafters of both the IHRA definition of antisemitism as well as the Nexus Document and the Jerusalem Declaration on Antisemitism.
