As Jewish clergy, we are inevitably asked to respond to fears and experiences of antisemitism. It’s challenging for us to do that well, especially when antisemitism gets politicized and when we have to manage our own emotional responses. The Navigating Antisemitism Community of Practice provides an opportunity for T’ruah chaverim to give and receive support as we think about and respond to fears and acts of antisemitism in our communities and coalition work.

We will tackle the complex questions of:

  • How do we make sense of antisemitism for ourselves before/while we help our communities process and respond to it?
  • What sort of education could we be doing, within and outside of our Jewish communities?
  • How do we build relationships outside the Jewish community that lead to greater support?

If you are Jewish clergy working on improving your ability to navigate antisemitism in a complex, thoughtful, effective way, this Community of Practice is for you.

We will meet for four synchronous sessions on Zoom. We will see each other for 90 interactive minutes on Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. ET on the following dates:

  • October 31, 2023
  • December 5, 2023
  • January 16, 2024
  • February 13, 2024

Participants will be assigned to chevruta partners to meet with in-between the synchronous sessions.

In addition to being chaverim, we are asking for a monetary commitment of $36. If this price is cost-prohibitive for you, please contact us as soon as possible — we never want money to be an obstacle to participation.
