It is an extremely difficult and heartbreaking time. As we at T’ruah rebuild our Bay Area cluster, we are offering a few programs for our members here with resources and community support to navigate this moment.
On Wednesday, March 13 at 10:00 AM, join T’ruah CEO Rabbi Jill Jacobs for a clergy community gathering in San Francisco at Congregation Sherith Israel (2266 California St, San Francisco, CA 94115). The event will begin with an optional, informal breakfast at 9 AM, followed by the formal program led by Rabbi Jacobs at 10 AM.
Rabbi Jacobs will lead a text study and conversation about the dynamics around holding progressive views on Israel during this very difficult moment. The last few months have brought immense trauma and created fractures in our communities, the impact of which has been felt deeply among clergy. Rabbi Jacobs has been at the forefront of articulating a nuanced pro-Israel case for an end to the war in Gaza, and advocating for a future for both Israelis and Palestinians in the land.
This program is open to all Bay Area Jewish clergy (not just member’s of T’ruah’s chaverim network) and we welcome diverse views on the ongoing situation in Israel and Gaza.
