As rabbis and cantors, we are outraged by your comments at the presidential debate, in press interviews, at rallies, and on social media spreading a widely debunked conspiracy theory about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. We stand with our Haitian neighbors — both in Ohio and across the country — and believe that such racist lies have no place in our country.

The AAA could have a chilling effect on free speech, open discourse, and academic freedom related to discussions of Israel/Palestine and other charged topics in our educational institutions.

This legislation would make 8 million undocumented immigrants who have been in the U.S. for longer than 7 years eligible for green cards.

The rise of antisemitism in the U.S. is deeply concerning. Bold and decisive action is desperately needed to keep Jews safe. But the extremely misguided Antisemitism Awareness Act threatens civil liberties and won’t make Jews safer.

Most recently, the U.S. government announced they will be imposing visa bans on extremist Israeli settlers guilty of terrorizing Palestinians in the West Bank. Share a note of gratitude with U.S. officials and ask them to keep the pressure on Israel and make sure no U.S. weapons or funding goes to support settler violence.

By passing The Afghan Adjustment Act, we can ensure that we keep our promise to the Afghan people by giving them the chance to apply to become lawful permanent residents.

Voting rights have been under attack. This cannot happen. Tell the Senate to to pass the Freedom of Vote Act!

We need to make clear that there is a strong voice for common-sense asylum policies.
