Crafting Human Rights Stories: A T’ruah End-of-The-Year Storytelling Workshop

EVENT DATE:

April 30, 2018

LOCATION:

Jerusalem, Israel

**This event is for rabbinical, cantorial and Jewish education students spending their year in Israel**

On April 30th at 6:45 p.m.- 9:30 p.m., join the T’ruah Israel Program for a special evening to look back on the past year’s human rights tiyyulim in the T’ruah Israel Program, and turn those experiences into stories that we can tell in the rabbinic voice back home.

The workshop will be led by Noa Yammer, communications director for the Yad B’Yad Association that runs bilingual Jewish-Arab schools in several cities in Israel. The workshop is based on renown organizer and social movement scholar Marshall Ganz’s “Public Narrative” methodology, which breaks down how to move people from reflection to action by creating a “Story of Self,” a “Story of Us” and a “Story of Now.” You can find more information about the approach here and here.
